Michael Goines, a lifelong resident of Redwood City, was an avid musician and accomplished drummer with “scary fast hands” according to his peers. Known as Mike by many, he was a well-traveled musician who played the drums for decades in many groups both professionally and as a hobby. Mike even performed at his daughter’s wedding in 2014. Later in life, Mike taught many students, of all ages and stages, the art of drumming in his Redwood City home studio. He was passionate about playing and watching music, especially jazz and latin jazz. Mike had an impressive music collection, from vinyl to tapes to CD’s and beyond. Listening to and sharing music was a true joy. Mike is tremendously missed - many thanks for your generosity in sharing the gift of music in his name.
