In the Bay Area Michael teaches songwriting, ukulele, art song, and opera scenes opera scene programs blending performance and education.

His programs include the San Francisco Opera Department of Diversity, Equity and Community, and with The San Francisco Opera Guild among others, leading operas developed and performed by students.

Michael has performed over 70 roles as a baritone and a tenor, Including over 20 premiere works, as well as playing, writing, and recording classical and contemporary music.

Michael earned a Master’s Degree in music; with an emphasis on voice.
