Legacy Gifts and Estate Planning Made Easy!

A wonderful way to support Music in Schools Today (MUST) in an effective and meaningful way is by naming MUST as a beneficiary designation of a financial account or by naming MUST as a beneficiary of your Will or Living Trust.

In regard to financial accounts, these easy gifts include:

– IRAs, 401(k)s, and other retirement plans
– Savings, checking, and brokerage accounts
– Stocks and Bonds
– Commercial annuities
– Donor advised funds
– Life insurance policies

To name MUST as a beneficiary of any of these types of accounts, in most cases it is as simple as contacting your financial advisor and requesting a “beneficiary designation” form or a “transfer on death” form and indicating that you would like to name MUST as a beneficiary of such account.  You will need our legal name (Music in Schools Today) and likely our tax identification number (94-292-0480), and please feel free to contact us if any additional information is required.

Additionally, an equally effective and thoughtful way to support MUST is to name MUST as a beneficiary in your Will or Living Trust. Generally, providing for a “specific bequest” of a certain amount of money (or other property) to be distributed to MUST or by naming MUST as one of your final “residual beneficiaries” (usually done in fractional or percentage terms), you can ensure your estate will support future generations of music education and mentoring to those most in need of it!

Please let us know if you have named MUST as a beneficiary designation of any financial account or as a beneficiary of your Will or Living Trust, so that we may wholeheartedly thank you and welcome you to our Legacy Society.  Please contact Barie Wolf-Bowen at MUST at 415-392-9010 for assistance and with any questions you may have regarding the above, as we would be pleased to hear from you.
