5 Family Friendly Musical Events You don’t Want To Miss This February 2017

Share your love of music by taking your kids to an affordable (even FREE) music event in the month of February.. Check out our list below: February 4: The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra will be in San Mateo offering a free concert designed with toddlers in mind.  This 20 minute presentation teaches musical concepts, offers hands-on activities, and encourages lots of music, movement, and dance. February 9: Albany Community Center is hosting a free Chinese New Year Celebration. Your family will be  introduced to Chinese song and dance as well as  the 12 Zodiac Story. There are also arts and craft stations. February 11: The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra will be in Oakland offering a free concert designed with toddlers in mind.  This 20 minute presentation teaches musical concepts, offers hands-on activities, and encourages lots of music, movement, and dance. February 12: Visit the Oakland Museum of California to see performances by the Dharma Realm Chinese Orchestra, Taiko Drummers, folk dance and martial arts demonstrations.  All activities are included with museum admission. February 25: Join SFJAZZ Family Matinee for an afternoon with Marcus Shelby Orchestra. This family friendly concert is  a great way to pass the love of jazz onto the next generation.
